February Updates & Burn Out

Hello fabulous Reader,

This week has been a BIG week. I officially launched my YouTube Channel! I hope this channel provides value, breaks down the barriers to better health, and inspires you to prioritize yours. I share tons of content on how I help people build healthy bodies and minds without restrictive dieting to achieve sustainable results and do the EPIC shit they love! Make sure to check that out; I’ll link it at the end of this email.

I also launched The FREE Ultimate Meal Guide, which I’ve worked on for a while. It’s the number one system for making grocery shopping and meal prepping easy, fast, delicious, and nutritious. You probably know that I’ve spent 13 years working as a professional cook and wanted to find a way to combine my knowledge of 5 Star Fine Dining with my ability to whip up 5-minute-on-the-fly meals AND my strong foundation in nutrition into an easy to understand guide. In it, I share how you can build a balanced plate, plan a time-saving menu, efficiently grocery shop, create delicious flavor profiles, and master meal prep. If you haven’t already, make sure to grab your free copy!

Last week I also got an email from a role model of mine, a person I looked up to who has built a business that I admire, informing her people that she was taking a step back, dissolving her company, and closing down all her programs. She was burnt out.

And I took it to heart.

I am only just beginning to take flight, I am still a one-woman show, and I can already feel the pressure. There is pressure to always be on social media and produce content. And if you’ve followed me, you know I’m a perfectionist, so I often spend extra time trying to make things perfect for my clients and audience.

And while it often feels like I am juggling a million things at once - I also am a big proponent of practicing what I preach.

I still take my slow mornings. I drink my coffee in quiet. I read a slow-learning book. I am reading “The Daily Stoic” by Ryan Holiday and journaling as I go. I make sure I take extra time to calm my mind and meditate some days, but often, just taking a few extra breaths here and there is vital for my sanity.

So while this is a BIG week for me, it also feels anticlimactic - because there is always more to be doing, always more to be done. But I also know that feeling of urgency will only end if I intentionally choose to turn it off. Get present. Focus on the moment, learn to shut off work, and take my time. I take my “non-work” time very seriously. Because if I’m not on top of maintaining that calm, that relaxed state - then I won’t be able to perform when I need to.

The lesson here, slow down. Get present. Turn off your devices. Sit in silence. Allow yourself the opportunity to appreciate your life without having to DO or Watch anything.

Be mindful

Until next time,

Morgan

I run the Customer Service side of things for my Business Coach, and we are in launch mode this week! She is much farther along in her business journey than I am, and it is exciting to see what is possible with only a small team of 6. I've been busy answering tons of emails this week and have been tied to my computer more than I would like. Who am I kidding? I spend WAY too much time working on my computer anyway. This is the exact reason I am such a stickler when it comes to sticking to your...

Writing in today to talk about how excited I am about the two modules I got finished yesterday for my upcoming course. It’s going to be a good one! It’s for the person who struggles to make time for breakfast - they know they “should” be having breakfast and they probably “should” be having something other than a pastry or granola bar — but no matter how much they want to, they just can’t seem to make this change. I’m excited because it’s not just another protein cheatsheet with a list of...

Heya I missed two of my morning walks this week - because I had made other plans to walk later in the day. One of those days I did actually get in an afternoon walk because I walked to the movies. But the other day, my friend canceled, and instead of going for an evening walk on my own, I just didn’t move my body that day. Looking back, I’m frustrated with myself that I broke that promise. For me, morning walks are a promise to myself that I will show up and take this time to move my body,...
